Some of this objects were thought as the result of the advantage of Inheritance and some others as the result of some Heritage Tables roll.

Armored Armor. Crane object. 4 points

This is a Kaiu present. It's a heavy armor, with some thin layers of metal inside. This grants the wearer Armor 5, but the penalty for wearing it is +15, +5 for Crabs. Maintenance rolls for this armor are also more difficult ( + 10 to TN) and you need some special materials.

Die-tsuchi with stamp. Crab Object. 2 points

This is like a big postmark but shaped like a Die-tsuchi. Every impact leaves in the victim the shape of the postmark (be it a mon, kanji, drawing...)

Umayari "Dragon Killer". Unicorn Object. 6 points

This umayari comes from beyond the northern mountains. It is said that in the land from were it comes from dragons an people lived together, but not without problems. A group of dragons wanted to coexist with humans and the other wanted to feed on them. When the Unicorns arrived joined the fight, but then there was only one last dragon fighting beside them. When this dragon was mortally wounded during a battle the Unicorn shugenja used one of his fangs to create this umayari. Nobody knows how the war ended, but it's known that this umayari is special. When the Unicorn returned to Rokugan and were heading to Otosan-Uchi it was observed that the wearer of this weapon seemed to have some kind of predilection for attacking Dragon Clan samurai viciously, with terrifying effectiveness. This is why once established in their land and with the Dragon Clan as neighbors it was decided to keep an eye on this umayari and, if possible, keep its wearer far from Dragon samurai.

In game terms, when the wearer of this umayari is near a Dragon samurai (or ise zumi), he must succeed in a Willpower roll TN 15 or will try to kill him on the spot. If the wearer is sleeping, unconscious or he hasn't noticed a Dragon near him, he must succeed in a Void roll TN 15 or the umayari will attack the Dragon (the umayari will fly!!!). If the character succeeds the roll he will still feel an unexplainable need to attack the Dragon (or ise zumi). This umayari is considered as a normal one if it's not facing a Dragon. If it is, the umayari rolls 4K5 to damage (however you use it) and adds 2K1 to the to-hit roll.

It is said that if the owner of this umayari gets angry with a Dragon and doesn't have the umayari at hand, it will fly towards his owner or towards the Dragon (to kill him), but nobody knows if this is true...

Family Katana. Crane or Lion Object. 4 points ( 7 for No-dachi)

This katana was quite normal long ago, but after passing from parents to sons for generations it has gained some special properties. The tradition followed with this katana says its owner has to forge it at least once in his life (has it been broken or not), taking care in every detail during the forging process as if it were a Kakita blade (see WoC). This katana must remain inside the family and must be handed down to the older son (or daughter) after the death of its previous owner. An integral part of the tradition also includes a strict adherence to the code of Bushido, to strengthen the body and the soul. And you must never forget that your sword is your soul...

In game terms, the katana absorbs the Honor Rank of its owner when he forges it. This Honor Rank will be the Honor Rank used in all Honor rolls if the owners real Honor is inferior. If the owner's current Honor is 4 or higher, the katana gives 1K1 to hit (with iai or ken). If the owner's current Honor is 5 the katana gives 1K2 to damage and the 1K1 to hit already explained. If the owner's current Honor is 2 the katana loses 1K1 to hit and if the owner's Honor is 1 it loses 1K1 to damage in addition to the lost dice to hit. If the owner's current Honor reaches zero the katana will break immediately and no magic will fix it, -the only way to fix it is for the owner to regain Honor 1 at least and forge the katana.

If the katana ever leaves your family the new owner doesn't gain any of the katana advantages, doesn't matter how many times he forges it. The Honor Rank of the katana will be frozen until it returns to the correct family (please, note that if it breaks while lost, nobody can fix it, but it can be melted...). When the katana is lost the owner loses a number of Honor Ranks equal to the Honor of the katana.

Umbrella. Scorpion Object. 2 points

This item looks like a simple umbrella, but if you twist it small blades will pop up from its rim (0K1 of damage). In order to use this weapon the character can train its Skill or simply use it as a Ninjutsu weapon. The fast twists and sweeps used to fight with this weapon grant a +5 to TN to its user. To detect the true nature of this item it has to be closely inspected and make a Perception roll TN 35.

There's also the tessen version (see WoS or WoL), 1K2 of damage.

Family masks. Scorpion Object. 7 points

A long time ago, a Scorpion ancestor insulted gravely the Fortunes Ebisu and Benten. His insult was not a planned one, but the result of a long, fruitful and sacrificed life following his Clan's orders, that is, keeping honest and honorable samurai far from success and feigning and ridiculing true love. These two Fortunes cursed the Scorpion samurai, keeping him and some of his offsprings or relatives from enjoying love or honest work. This curse keeps the souls of the last five relatives that endured this curse from going to Jigoku, linked to the masks. they wore in life and staying beside the next cursed relative in order to remember him constantly his duty towards the Scorpion Clan (even if he's not Scorpion!!). These five masks. are handed down from parents to children (in fact only the older one) but when there are no children the masks. find their way to the closest relative. Sometimes they simply appear in the front door of the house, they are offered as a present by someone or bought by the wife of the next cursed samurai. If the masks. are broken, they will reappear unbroken, and if they are thrown into the sea, some fisherman will fish them. Doesn't matter how, they always find their way home... and once at home, they introduce themselves to the new cursed and explain him his new "status".

In game terms, when the new cursed is informed of his situation he gains a special Benten's Curse disadvantage: the cursed eyes become yellow, his voice husky and his loved or just esteemed ones will feel constantly intimidated (roll Intimidation every time he talks with them, adding 3K0 to the roll) or not very respected (minus 4K0 to Etiquette rolls).

But this curse has a dark side (dark for a curse) because it eases the cursed one duties. If he tries to do something sneaky, the curse changes some body part or all of it (if hiding his tanto his hand will change, if hiding in the forest he'll be completely changed) into an opaque, anthropomorphic shadow, with wide yellow eyes, a big mouth full of long and thin fangs, slim fingers and clawed hands and feet (no damage bonus). In this shape the cursed gains 3K2 to all Stealth rolls, nightvision (can see in complete darkness as in daylight), gains 3K3 to Intimidation rolls, Fear 5 and the ability to meld with shadows as big as his body, losing all his volume (he can't travel from shadow to shadow, that's something else...).

The family souls not only remember his duties to the cursed as a Scorpion but also to help him. The cursed can talk to them (nothing of telepathy, real talking, although he can whisper) and they will follow the orders of the cursed though sometimes they can protest if they consider the orders are wrong. If the life of the cursed one is in danger, each soul can posses a body (but they will never posses the cursed) and control it perfectly, increasing two Ranks the physical traits an the Void Ring and can use all the Skills, Techniques and spells of the possessed body, but they don't have access to the memories of the possessed bodies, because the mind is "disconnected". When the soul leaves, the victim will only remember a feeling of suffocation and nothing else.

Nodachi. Minor Clan Object. 9 points

This weapon was forged about two or three hundred years ago by a Minor Clan samurai who saw an unknown assassin kill his wife and escape. During the forging of this weapon, the feelings of vengeance, wrath and despair were transferred from the samurai to the sword. This weapon is not a nemuranai, but the feelings it experimented during its forging gave it some special traits: it makes no sound while being unsheathed, dies rolled below three (two and one!!) are rerolled (not after a ten, remember!!) and gains 0K1 to hit for every two dies over the 10 dies maximum.

Animal Armor. 2 points

The name is not quite fitting, but I don't know how to call it. The The look of this armor reminds of the animal the Clan it belongs to takes the name, and once the armor is not worn its pieces form the shape of that animal (Saint Seia rules!!!)
